My first blog entry in 2015! Anyway, I went to Super Palengke (better know today as Save More) this morning at 10.30 am to talk with the admin for an extension of my sister's upcoming lab business there. There are two women manning the admin office--a manager and her assistant. She sadly disclosed to me how we're given only up to the end of the month--January--to finally decide on our lab business.
Well, the talk ended on a good note and I went out of the building and quickly decided to walk all the way from Save More to Actuarial Street--just to warm up my body, a sort of workout to complement my regular runs. Well, the past days it has been mere brisk walks due to my left upper back muscle injury.
I surveyed my surroundings as I did the leisurely walk, checking out new developments in the area as well as reminiscing my childhood when I used to go biking there. A lot of new townhouses have popped up as some gates of Paradise Village have been closed and secluded. I used to also walk the streets there as a kid with my village pals, taking short cuts to reach different places in Project 8. I wondered where my pals were now and what they were doing at the moment.
I passed by makeshift tire shops along Benefits Street (they're beginning to be unsightly there and sometimes cause obstruction) as well as small eateries and corner stores where people hung out, looking at me as I passed by. Every 3 seconds or so, public jeepneys passed by.
It took me some 15 minutes before I reached Actuarial Street. It was noon time and thank God the sun was partly hidden in clouds though shining brightly nonetheless. I stopped by Laura's Sisig at the corner of Accounting and Assistant Streets and bought a meal for lunch. It was often full at lunch time but when I came, customers were just beginning to trickle in.
